THE MONKEES
The Monkees (Deluxe Limited Edition)
Originally released in 1966, The Monkees had an amazing 78-week run on the Billboard album chart. It includes the #1 hit "Last Train To Clarksville" and the infectious "(Theme From) The Monkees," both written for the band by hit songwriting team Boyce & Hart. Also features Goffin & King's "Take A Giant Step" and David Gates' "Saturday's Child."
Disc one's nine bonus tracks include previously unreleased alternate mixes of "The Kind Of Girl I Could Love" and "Papa Gene's Blues," plus a take of "I Don't Think You Know Me" featuring Micky Dolenz on vocals. Disc two's eight bonus cuts include a previously unreleased demo version of "Propinquity (I've Just Begun To Care)" and a rare Kellogg's jingle.
